PTS runs hearing on plan to stop regulating fixed telephony

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS is seeking comments on its proposal to stop regulation the fixed line telephony service market. The hearing is aimed at the market for retail landline services, or markets 1 and 2 under the EU commission recommendation from 2007. In its 2014 recommendation, the commission had decided that ex-ante regulation of those markets was no longer relevant, and the PTS is now minded to agree.
