PTS stands by criteria for rural broadband subsidies

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it has updated its advice for the Board of Agriculture, saying that a number of smaller places will be provided with broadband through development on a commercial basis, as well as all densely populated areas and. Previously, it said that at least every densely populated area would get commercial coverage. PTS added that broadband expansion outside built-up areas has been good but that this has almost exclusively been funded by subsidies.
