PwC selected as court administrator for Oi

The judge of the Seventh Corporate Court of the Rio de Janeiro, Fernando Viana, has selected PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as the judicial administrator of Brazilian operator Oi, reports O Globo. PwC was one of the four consultancies indicated by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). The role of the trustee will be to validate the creditors list of Oi by the end of July. The provisional list includes around 13,000 individuals and institutions with a total debt of BRL 65.4 billion.
