QR codes used in Polish mobile banking by 20% of people

Friday 9 October 2015 | 10:48 CET | News
Nearly 20 percent of Poles aged 16-40 use QR codes, according to the Marketing Mobilny w Polsce 2013-2014 report, conducted on 302 smartphones users. Poland's mBank has introduced QR codes in its mobile application recently. QR codes are mainly used for paying bills and invoices. The only thing consumers need to possess in order to use them is a smartphone with the bank's app and a camera. While scanning the code, all the data required for the transfer is automatically processed by the application. It works quickly, intuitively, easily and efficiently.
