Qualcomm, AT&T, CH2M start smart water pilot in Georgia

Qualcomm's subsidiary, Qualcomm Intelligent Solutions, AT&T, engineering company CH2M and Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources (Gwinnett County) in Georgia are taking part in a pilot programme whose aim is to improve water management in Gwinett County through the use of smart water meters. This will be AT&T's largest pilot of its type using new ultrasonic meters connected to AT&T's LTE network. The pilot study will use Qualcomm Technologies' modems in products such as smart water meters to produce data to be used in the development of software algorithms.
