Qualcomm buys hospital connectivity specialist Capsule

Qualcomm has acquired Capsule Technologie, a provider of medical device integration and clinical data management services. The US-based company counts more than 1,930 hospitals as clients in 38 countries. Capsule will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Life. The acquisition of Capsule extends Qualcomm Life's connected health offerings into the hospital, combining Qualcomm Life's connected medical devices used outside of the hospital with Capsule's expertise in connecting medical devices, EMRs and IT systems across the hospital. Capsule's medical device integration and clinical data
