Qualcomm joins PMA to create wireless charging standard

Qualcomm joined the Power Matters Alliance (PMA) on 1 October, according to Gigaom, making Qualcomm a member of all three top wireless power groups, the PMA, the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) and the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP). Qualcomm said in a statement that, "By joining these organisations, Qualcomm aims to provide an opportunity to standardise around a single global implementation if all parties can agree on the way forward.
