Qualcomm to optimise Snapdragon XR, 5G products for HTC Vive Wave

Wednesday 27 March 2019 | 08:40 CET | News
HTC Vive is working with Qualcomm Technologies to pre-integrate and optimise HTC's Vive Wave VR platform for Qualcomm Technologies' XR Standalone and 5G Smartphone reference designs. This allows OEMs that use select Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platforms to rapidly bring Vive Wave-enabled devices to commercialisation. This work also allows HTC Vive to create a XR platform for smartphone OEMs unlocking access to the Viveport app store to provide a rich, immersive XR offering to consumers through XR Viewers tethered via USB Type-C.
