Qualcomm wants iPhone sales/import ban in Germany

Qualcomm has filed two patent infringement cases against Apple in the regional courts of Munich and Mannheim in Germany, demanding a sales and importation stop for all new iPhones while seeking damages as well because Apple continues to use Qualcomm's technology while refusing to pay for it, according to an e-mailed statement from Qualcomm's general counsel Don Rosenberg. He also says that the patents represent two technologies important to iPhone functions, but they are not standards-essential patents and are not subject to FRAND licensing obligations.
