Queretaro state joins Mexico's telecom infrastructure drive

Monday 22 January 2018 | 10:30 CET | News
Queretaro is the latest Mexican state to join the federal government's programme to make available public buildings for telecommunications services. In a statement, the country's Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) announced that it reached an agreement with the state to give telecommunications operators access to 561 state-owned buildings throughout Queretaro. The public infrastructure sharing programme already provides telecom providers and broadcasters access to some 12,000 buildings to increase coverage and quality while reducing deployment costs.
