Quiero TV may be shut down, says Auna CFO

Monday 8 April 2002 | 00:00 CET | News
Quiero TV (Spain), DTTV operator which is 49% owned by Auna, telecoms holding company, may be liquidated, according to the latter's financial director, Carlos Lopez Casas. It is highly unlikely that Auna will reach an agreement to sell Quiero TV to Telefonica or to Anschulz Investment (US), investment fund, added Lopez Casas. The shutdown of Quiero TV could result in its assigned spectrum being shared between other broadcaster which have asked for more bandwidth for their digital services.
