Rabobank, Albert Heijn start contactless m-payments trial

Thursday 15 September 2011 | 01:59 CET | News
Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn (AH) has launched a sticker-based mobile contactless payments pilot in partnership with financial services provider Rabobank. Trial participants will be provided with contactless payment stickers linked to MiniTix, the virtual wallet owned by Rabobank. Users can attach the stickers to their mobile phones to carry out low-value payments in the Amsterdam World Trade Centre building by waving their NFC-enabled handsets over specially designed readers developed by Chess iX.
