Rai considering appeal against Sky TG24 DTT launch - report

Italian state broadcaster Rai is considering the possibility of lodging an appeal against Sky Italia's imminent launch of a free-to-air DTT version of its Sky TG24 news channel, reports Italian daily La Repubblica. Sky announced that Sky TG24 will start broadcasting on DTT channel 27 on 27 January, featuring a mix of Sky-branded documentaries, in-depth reports, movies and specials alongside its 24-hour rolling news coverage. However, according to the report, Rai's board is unhappy that its Rai News 24 channel will be at a clear disadvantage in the battle of FTA news channels since it
