Rain responds to Cell C criticism of roaming deal with Vodacom, says open to other agreements

Rain is prepared to discuss roaming arrangements with any operator, as its agreement with Vodacom is non-exclusive and complies with South African regulations, said CEO Willem Roos, according to TechCentral. On 18 October, Cell C chief strategy officer and acting chief financial officer Robert Pasley had told a Competition Commission inquiry into the mobile data services market that communications regulator Icasa had failed in its duty when it allowed Vodacom and Rain to enter a national roaming agreement two years ago.
