Rakuten launches new USD 100 mln investment fund

Rakuten has anounced the official launch of the Rakuten FinTech Fund, a new USD 100 million global investment fund focused on investments in disruptive early to mid-stage fintech startups that offer attractive return potential with strategic relevance. The fund will target investments in startups and growth companies primarily in the US and Europe. The new fund follows previous fintech investments made by Rakuten, including Currency Cloud, WePay and Bitnet.
