R&D institute CNIIS proposes uniform platform to store eSIM profile data

Russian R&D institute CNIIS, which is accountable to state communications agency Rossvyaz, has proposed to create a single platform for remote activation and storage of eSIM user profiles, reports Kommersant. The system should support domestic encryption systems. The Ministry of Digitisation considers that an operator for a platform should be selected using an open tender procedure.
