RapidSOS raises USD 30 mln in new funding

RapidSOS, a start-up helping to connect smart devices to emergency services, announced a USD 30 million Series B funding round to expand its technology platform. The funding was led by Playground Global, with participation from Highland Capital Partners, M12 (Microsoft's Venture Fund), Two Sigma Ventures, Forte Ventures, The Westly Group, CSAA IG, and individuals including three former FCC chairmen and the former AT&T Vice Chairman Ralph de la Vega.
