Rdio introduces USD 4/mth 'Rdio Select' streaming service

Global music streaming service Rdio is stepping up competition with rivals such as Spotify, Apple and new services such as Tidal by introducing a USD 3.99 subscription service, called Select, which allows users to stream ad-free music from radio stations, with unlimited skips as well as daily offline access to a maximum of 25 songs. Newest downloads automatically replace the oldest ones, and users can replace their 25 downloads up to once per day. In addition, Rdio Select subscribers will be able to stream their songs at a high-quality 320 kbps and access playlists featuring curation from NPR
