Red tape delaying LatAm infrastructure deployment - study

Inconsistent and contradictory legislation in Latin American countries is contributing to delays and restrictions in the deployment of new mobile telecommunications networks in the region, according to industry association 4G Americas. In a report entitled 'Digital Adoption in Latin America: The Role of Infrastructure Deployment and Other Policies in the Region', 4G Americas argues that dialogue between governments and operators over shared use of infrastructure is essential to extending the coverage and benefits of telecoms services to the population.
