Repairs to begin on SAT-3/WASC and WACS submarine cables

South African infrastructure provider Openserve says the ship contracted to repair submarine cables damaged off Angola has reached its destination and has begun mending the SAT-3/WASC and WACS cable systems. The Tertiary Education and Research Network of South Africa (TENET) said transit to the WACS S1i cable ground is complete and the repair is expected by 08 February 2020.
