Richard Sharp confirmed as new chairman of BBC Board

The UK government has confirmed the appointment of former Goldman Sachs banker Richard Sharp as the new chair of the BBC Board. His nomination, announced in January, was approved by the Privy Council on 10 February. Remuneration for the post will be GBP 160,000 annual salary for 3-4 days per week.
