RNLI selects BT as technolgy, innovation partner

BT and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) have agreed a new strategic supplier partnership to help save lives from drowning.

Over the next five years, BT will help the charity develop new technologies to save lives, as well as supplying a new communications service. BT Enterprise CEO Gerry McQuade said there has been major developments in 5G and smart connected technology in recent years, and that BT was looking forward to working with the RNLI on new solutions to help them work more efficiently and respond to incidents more quickly.
