Rocket Internet fund hits USD 1 bln cap

The Rocket Internet Capital Partners Fund has closed after reaching its cap of USD 1 billion. The fund, one of Europe's largest in the Internet sector, provides companies with early stage and growth capital, according to a statement from Rocket Internet. The fund received commitments from financial institutions, pension funds, asset managers, foundations and high net worth individuals. Rocket Internet has made approximately 14 percent of commitments. Goldman Sachs International acted as a placement agent for the fund.
