Rogers announces plans to launch NB-IoT

Canadian operator Rogers Communications has announced plans to launch Narrow-Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT), to be used for asset monitoring, industrial automation, smart meters and smart cities, as well as personal SOS devices and trackers. The company said the introduction will complement its national LTE and LTE-M networks. Rogers uses equipment from Ericsson.
