Rogers closes CAD 2.7 bln bond offering

Rogers Communications has closed its offerings of USD worth of 4.35 percent senior notes due 2049 in the US and CAD 1,0 billion worth of 3.25 percent worth of senior notes due 2029 in Canada. Total proceeds went to CAD 2.7 billion. The money raised from the offering will be used to fund the CAD 1.725 billion acquisition of 52 (out of 64) 600 MHz spectrum licenses. The rest will go towards general corporate purposes.
