Roku launches own ad-supported films channel

Roku has launched its own channel on its streaming video platform, offering free access to a range of films. Customers will enjoy award winners and big screen classics on-demand on the ad-supported Roku Channel, the company said, adding that the channel will show around half the advertising per hour as traditional TV.
