Romania competition body starts investigation at Orange

Monday 4 April 2016 | 14:30 CET | News
Romania's Competition Council announced it initiated an investigation concerning a possible abuse of a dominant position by Orange Romania. The inquiry concerns a possible discrimination practiced by Orange Romania in relation to companies active in the SMS payments market or the market for mobile phone advertising via short messages in Romania. During the inquiry, the authority carried out unannounced inspections at both the headquarters of Orange Romania as well as the headquarters of some local SMS payment aggregators.
