Romania creates project to unlock funds for 'white areas'

Romania's Ministry of Communications and Informational Society (MCSI) has elaborated a project whose purpose is to unlock EUR 86 million of EU funds for setting up broadband networks in the underserved areas of the country. The general objective of the project is to develop an infrastructure of electronic networks offering wholesale broadband services in rural areas of Romania which are currently not served and where there are no plans for coverage in the near future.
