Romania, Latvia offer cheapest fixed broadband prices in EU - study

The cost of fixed broadband services in the EU fell in 2017, and the cheapest prices were available in Romania, Latvia, Hungary and Lithuania, according to a study released by the European Commission. While prices vary considerably across the 28 countries, the research by Empirica and TUV Rheinland found that in general, prices have fallen since 2016 for broadband, including in multi-play packages.
