Romania opens access to networks' physical infrastructure

Romania's government approved on 23 March the draft law regarding the regime of electronic communications networks' physical infrastructure and some measures that are meant to reduce the costs of installing electronic communications networks. According to the adopted bill, providers of electronic public communications networks will have access to the physical infrastructure owned by network operators. Measures included in the bill concern stimulating the efficient expansion of broadband networks and the development of competition in the electronic communications sector by facilitating access
