Romania to phase Ro-net project to 2014-2020 EU budget

The Romanian state will lose EUR 60 million of EU funds from the 2007-2013 EU budget for the Ro-net project whose aim is to bring broadband to over 720 disadvantaged localities, but authorities are discussing with Brussels and are optimistic they will obtain the phasing of the project to the 2014-2020 budget, writes local publication Hotnews.ro citing Minister of information society, Marius Bostan. The project will be phased to the 2014-2020 budget as the company responsible with building the network, Telekom Romania, delayed its completion by a year due to the high number of authorisations
