Romanian telecom authority asks operators to block fake news on Covid-19

Romania's telecom authority Ancom said it will implement the measures laid down in the presidential decree concerning the Covid-19 evolution in close collaboration with the relevant institutions. According to the provisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the providers of hosting services and the content providers may be forced by Ancom's decision to immediately stop the transmission of fake news concerning the Covid-19 evolution and the protection and prevention measures.
