Romania's competition council fines eMag owner nearly EUR 7 mln

Romania's Competition Council has sanctioned the owner of Romanian e-retailer eMag, Dante International to the tune of RON 32.28 million (EUR 6.7 million approximately) for abusing its dominant position on the market for intermediation through online marketplace platforms. The authority also imposed a series of measures on the company with the aim to restore the normal competitive environment and to prevent the occurrence of such acts.
