Romtelecom under investigation by data protection auhtority

Romania's national authority for data protection (ANSPDCP) will soon open an investigation to look into the way in which Romtelecom uses the private data of its Clicknet internet subscribers who use its recently launched online service MyClicknet, writes local publication Hotnews.ro citing the authority's officials. Once activated, MyClicknet automatically recommends Romtelecom's Clicknet internet subscribers relevant content such as news as well as displays ads based on their web browsing interests. Romtelecom's service uses global internet personalisation technology company Phorm's Discover

Still the same interception/redirection and constant monitoring, to check whether a cookie exists or whether it is opt-in or opt-out, but now with an added twist Flash cookies are used are also used to preserve re-spawn these cookies if deleted. :(
