Rostelecom adds LTE base stations under federal scheme and extends fibre networks in several regions

Russian national operator Rostelecom said it has deployed sixteen LTE base stations in the Vladimir region, four of them in the municipality of Gus-Khrustalny municipality, under the federal programme to eliminate the digital divide. Eleven LTE base stations have been built in the Krasnoyarsk region. The firm will make LTE services available in more than 24,000 villages across the country under the digital inclusion scheme by 2030, including 1,198 villages by the end of this year.
