Rostelecom brings Wi-Fi to another two villages in Chelyabinsk

Russian national operator Rostelecom continues to expand its Wi-Fi network under the framework of the federal programme on eliminating the digital divide in the Chelyabinsk region. Networks have been deployed in the settlements of Polyanovka and Bolshaya-Zapan, bringing broadband at up to 10 Mbps.

The company laid 157 kilometres of fibre lines there, passing more than 2,000 residents. Rostelecom has already built 98 hotspots under the programme in the region.
