Rostelecom connects hospitals to internet in Nizhny-Novgorod

Russian national operator Rostelecom connected 93 health-care sites to its broadband services in the  Nizhny-Novgorod region in 2017. The establishments are based in 40 municipalities across the region, and 40 km of fibre lines were built for the services, the company said.

The work was carried out under the framework of the state contract with the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, which covers connections for a total of 3,134 health-care sites.

The operator has also started work on the contract in the Trans-Baykal region, where an outpatient clinic in the settlement of Novy-Durulgay in the Onon municipality has been connected to broadband services from Rostelecom.
