Rostelecom connects village of Yurkino in Murmansk via AirPON for service at up to 10 Gbps

Russian national operator Rostelecom has connected the village of Yurkino in the Murmansk region to the internet. This is the first settlement in the region connected using AirPON equipment. The AirPON system enables internet access at up to 10 Gbps as well as use of IPTV, cloud telephony, smart home services and video-surveillance, among other things.
