Rostelecom expands GPON network in Sakha

Russian national operator Rostelecom has launched a project on the deployment of its GPON network in the Mirny municiality in the Republic of Sakha. The network is being built in the town of Udachny, in the settlements of Aykhal, Chernyshevskiy and Svetly. More than 12,000 households are planned to be covered. 

Services on the network are planned to start in the beginning of 2018, delivering broadband at up to 50 Mbps and more than 240 IPTV channels for subscribers of the operator there.
