Rostelecom upgrades data transmission network in Dagestan

Russian national operator Rostelecom has completed work to expand its data transmission network in Dagestan republic. The investment will help the company expand its broadband access and IPTV subscriber base. The uplink data transmission network capacity has been raised to 20 Gbps in Makhachkala, with the capacity of links from Makhachkala to eight agglomerations increased to 1 Gbps each.
