Rovio spins off education business to create Fun Academy

Rovio created Fun Academy, a new company whose mission is solely dedicated to the pursuit and development of fun learning, as part of its drive to focus on its core media and games businesses. Fun Academy licensed the Angry Birds brand from Rovio and took over the operation of the Angry Birds Playground childhood education programme. As an independent company, Fun Academy has more flexibility on financing and decision-making, allowing it to grow its business even faster, Rovio said.
