RTComm launches satellite broadband in Kamchatka

Russian operator RTComm, a subsidiary of national operator Rostelecom, has launched its satellite broadband services in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchyatskiy in the Kamchatka region. The services under the SanSat brand are available for both household and corporate subscribers. Broadband speeds total up to 45 Mbps.

The service is provided on the Ka-band over the Express AM-5, Express AM-6 amd AMU-1 satellites.

RTComm cooperates with the regional operator Morsvyazsputnik serving its customers in the Kamchatka region. The rate of the end-user equipment starts from RUB 29,990, and the monthly subscription fee is RUB 670 using 45 Mbps speed.
