RTR analyses reasons for low FTTH/B take-up in Austria

Only 22 percent of Austrian households and businesses use available FTTH (fibre-to-the-home) connections and only 18 percent use existing FTTB (fibre-to-the-building) connections, according to Austrian regulator RTR's report on fibre-optics network development. There is still much potential for fibre network development in Austria. The reason is the high network expansion costs combined with low demand.
