RTVE plans new international channel in HD

Spain is planning to launch a new international TV channel, in addition to the existing TVE Internacional and Canal 24 Horas. According to local media reports, the new channel would be a generic channel, focused on entertainment and broadcasting in HD TV series and movies. Currently, TVE Internacional is present in at least 80 percent of the pay-TV platforms in Latin America.
