RU awards licence for K6 frequency to Towercom for local MUX

Wednesday 3 August 2016 | 19:47 CET | News
Slovak regulator RU has issued a licence to the company Towercom for usage of the frequency K6 for the local multiplex in Bratislava. The DVB-T broadcasting provider is conducting a transition from the standard DVB-T to DVB-T2. Towercom plans to use the awarded frequency for presentation of the standard DVB-T2 in association with the forthcoming second digital dividend, that is, the planned release of the band 700 MHz for mobile operators. The licence for the frequency K6 is valid until 31 July 2018.
