Russia govt proposes cut in 5G spectrum fees

The Russian Ministry of Communications has proposed a cut in annual levies for 5G spectrum bands, reports Vedomosti. Under the current method for setting spectrum fees, the annual levies for all 5G bands across the country could total RUB 112.4 billion. This is several times higher than the fees for LTE bands, which total around RUB 25 billion, due to the larger amount of spectrum necessary for providing 5G services.
