Russia postpones mandatory switch to domestic IoT equipment by one year

Russian state radio frequencies commission SRFC has postponed the mandatory switch to equipment of domestic origin for IoT networks, reports Cnews.ru. Implementation of the requirement has been delayed until 01 December 2021. The reason for the decision is the lack of IoT device producers in the Russian market, with only two companies having gained local IoT equipment producer status so far.
