Russian group AIV urges release of more spectrum to develop LPWAN sector

Russian IoT industry group AIV has issued a statement claiming that the spectrum that can be used by base stations running the LP WAN (Low-Power Wide-Area Network) standard should be expanded, reports Comnews.ru. AIV considers that the expansion of the unlicensed spectrum being used for IoT services under this standard would foster the development of the Russian IoT market, which currently lacks spectrum. The industry group has sent the statement to state radio frequencies commission SRFC.
