Russian law on fines for sovereign internet violations passes to Duma

Draft legislation amending the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offences has been submitted to the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, reports Comnews.ru. The draft proposes up to RUB 1 million in fines for telecommunications operators violating the law on maintaining a separate local internet segment.
