Russian operators still finalising LTE project

Russian mobile operators MTS, Megafon, Vimpelcom and Rostelecom and Wimax operator Yota have been unable to reach agreement on their proposed partnership to develop a LTE network in Russia. The deadline for reaching an agreement had been set for 1 June, reports Rbcdaily.ru. The big three mobile operators expect to get their own frequencies for LTE this year. The operators mainly disagree on the terms of carrying out the project. The proposal first announced in March with the Russian government's backing envisages Yota building a wholesale LTE network on which other operators would offer
